In accordance with the District’s plan to enhance the parent and community engagement component of the PSC process, I have convened a “tiger team” of experts in the field of parent and community engagement to provide recommendations for improving parent, student and community participation in the PSC process.  The tiger team will identify the challenges experienced during the first and second rounds of PSC; submit recommendations for improving parent, student, and community engagement opportunities; and submit recommendations to improve the process for capturing their suggestions during the proposal writing process.  I will review the feedback from the tiger team before submitting my recommendations to the Board of Education.

From Wednesday’s Letter to Applicant Teams:

First and foremost, all applicant teams are encouraged to maintain a laser-like focus on the instructional plan for students.

While I suppose it’s not technically the tiger team that will be using the lasers themselves, the juxtaposition is certainly compelling. Also, a big “thank you” to my colleague to provided the above image.
